BEST FRIENDS FOREVER

best friends forever are a band from MN who has a following in worcester. they're local favorites that aren't even local!

BLISTER PACK
A wotown punk band frequently seen on the bill with WHITE CRIME and OPPOSITES DAY, great proponents of the rock

OPPOSITES DAY
10 yr old kids playing music with their respective moms. Really.

WHITE CRIME
The odd man out in the worcester hardcore scene. The underdog of the underdogs. Basically they rule.

new track by BLK JKS of south africa

BLK JKS (say it: black jacks. black jacks) of s. africa combine sweet african guitarwork/horns/chanting with rippin' psychadelic guitarwork. sounds like a winning combination in my book. and they sing in some other language that i do not understand! wait for the middle part, so sick

Sunday

This weekend was aweeesome and its not over

The weekend gave us some incredibly fun happenings, such as Obscene Haircut Day at the Fuck Yeah Center on Pleasant St, shows at the Go Go and Forbes St, and all around summer fun out on the streets. But the weekend's pretty much still going because there are shows on Tuesday and Wednesday too!

Tuesday at Ralph's is the ROWDY ONES and MIKA MIKO and
Wednesday at the Firehouse JACOB BERENDES is going to be playing with a myriad of guests including MATT FOX and GHOST MICE and HEATHERS (see flyer)

Anyone who saw him perform as JACOB AND THE DUNGEONEER with the Dungeoneers (featuring members of Bonezone and the Terribles) at the Collective a Go Go the other night should be fucking psyched for this show! Speaking of the Dungeoneers (check out this sweet video), they put on an amazing punk show featuring flying drums and medieval death wrestling! Jamie and Mike's Guitar and Bass ONSLAUGHT was so freakin' tight that it sounded like an octave pedal! Can't wait to hear the Terribles/Bonezone Split 7", which Matt of Bonezone assures is on the way soon!

Also in the works is the new Strizhi Demo due at the end of the summer, they're a sweet Worcester postpunk band with a tendency to play in wild time signatures! They have a practice space in the same building as me so I can personally attest to their greatness, check out that link!

Friday

The Rowdy Ones and Mika Miko at Ralph's on June 16

We told you about Mika Miko's new album back when it leaked and now they're playing in Worcester! Not only that, but they're playing with wotown favs the ROWDY ONES, fronted by Pat Scully of Tasty Skateboards! The Rowdy Ones recently got back from their North American Tour, and Mika Miko (of LA) is currently on their own. SWEEEET. Punk Rock Tuesday the 16th! Now if only I was 21... scroll for vidz
